Finding the needle is the only win condition in Find the Needle. Everything else — hay, cash, bombs — exists to make this search less stupid. Get your eyes ready before you walk in
- Finish early upgrades. Grab speed and capacity should already be online from the early-game tier list.
- Stock bombs. Searching a full, untouched wall with a default grab is how people record hour-long rants.
- Turn your graphics up enough to see thin metal. Ultra is not required; mud-low is how you miss it.
- Avoid the busiest face of the pile. Twenty avatars kicking straw will hide the silhouette.
Lighting matters. Midday skyboxes wash silver into hay. If the server has a darker corner or a shadow under a lip of straw, start there. The official thumbnails even cheat with a magnifying-glass callout because the real object is tiny.
Search in lanes, not in circles
Pick a face of the pile. Divide it into vertical lanes about two avatar-widths wide. Clear or walk each lane once, then move over. Circling the same crater is how you convince yourself you “already looked.” You did not. You looked at the hole you made.

What the needle looks like

Server state changes the hunt

Friends can grid opposite faces so you do not overlap. You still compete for the same object. Be clear who calls a find.
When to stop a method
