Find the Needle Upgrade Planner

A buy-order checklist you can follow with the shop open.

Upgrade Planner

Open this planner when the Find the Needle shop is on screen and you can feel yourself about to buy a cosmetic. It is the practical version of the tier list hub. Early ranks are justified on the early-game tier list. Late ranks are justified on the late-game tier list. This page is only the order.

Prices are omitted on purpose. Inventing them would be a lie.

Tick list — early engine

Work top to bottom. Do not skip to bombs because they look exciting.

  1. Cheapest grab / pickup speed rank available
  2. Next grab speed rank if it is still cheap relative to capacity
  3. Backpack / capacity rank 1
  4. Another grab speed rank
  5. Capacity rank 2 (if the shop stacks that way)
  6. First bomb stack
  7. Optional small walk speed if sell trips still dominate the clock

When 1–6 are done, you are allowed to hunt. How to find the needle is the next tab, not another sell.

Tick list — hunt phase

  1. Refresh bombs before each sweep
  2. Bomb radius or better clear tool, if it exists in the shop
  3. Remaining grab speed only if sells still feel slow
  4. Walk speed / jump if the mound has height you cannot climb
  5. One test rank of luck / magnet if leftover cash exists
  6. Stop. Do not buy trails.

If you are still ticking farm rows after you already have bombs, you are stalling. How to win faster is the intervention.

Skip list

  • Cosmetics, auras, titles
  • Duplicate QoL rows you cannot feel in one sell trip
  • Anything a chat ad calls “OP” that is not speed, capacity, or bombs
  • Auto-upgrade script purchases you did not whitelist — see auto farm scripts

How to use a code inside the planner

Redeem first (how to redeem codes), sell any hay (code rewards), then tick the next undone row above. A gift is not permission to jump to step 12.

After a patch

If a studio update landed, run one sell and see whether a new row appeared near the top. A new clear tool can insert at step 9. A new cosmetic can insert at the skip list. Confirm with what’s new.

Pair with a session log

The planner tells you what to buy. The hay tracker tells you whether you actually stopped buying and started looking. Use both or you will optimize a tycoon that this scavenger hunt is not.

The getting started guide is still the right first page if you do not know where the sell pad is. Come back here when cash is burning a hole in the HUD.

Worked example (no fake prices)

You spawn with nothing. Two sell trips buy the first speed rank. Two more trips buy capacity. You feel faster. That is the moment people open the shop and buy a trail because it is on the first row. Do not. Tick step 5, then step 6. The first bomb stack is the real celebration.

If a friend yells that luck is S-tier today, buy nothing until you have felt a bomb crater. Luck you cannot notice is a donation to the shop. Keep the planner in order even when chat is loud.

On a crowded server, you may complete steps 1–6 slower because the spawn face is stripped. That is a server tips problem, not a reason to skip to cosmetics. Walk to the back face, finish the engine, then hunt.

If you inject auto upgrade, whitelist only the rows on this list. Everything else is how scripts empty a wallet on glow effects. The scripts hub can wait until the planner is finished once by hand so you know what “good” looks like.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What do I buy first?

Grab speed, then capacity, then bombs. That is steps 1–6.

Why are there no prices?

The studio has not published a stable price table. Order is the honest tool.

When do I stop using the planner?

When bombs are stocked and extra buys do not change the hunt. Then search.

Can a script follow this list?

Only if you whitelist rows. Unfiltered auto upgrade buys junk. See auto farm scripts.
