Find the Needle with Friends
Same pile, one needle — how to grid a 20-player server without wasting four people on one wall.
Find the Needle is an online public-server hunt, not a couch co-op campaign. You and your friends join the same Roblox instance (max 20 players) and share 1,000,000 hay and a single needle. This page is the social layer. Server tips is how to read a dead pile. Fastest finds is how to log a time without lying about ESP.
There is no private VIP switch on the universe right now. You queue together and hope Roblox lands you on the same server. If it does not, hop as a group.
How to land together
- One person hosts by joining first and staying on the server list.
- Friends join from the profile or the current-server prompt, not from a random Play button that can shard you.
- Confirm you see the same crater pattern before you split. Different lighting can mean different instances.
- If you scattered, pick a new join and try once. Three failed stacks is a sign to play adjacent, not stacked.
Mobile friends can join PC friends. Same account system. The mobile guide covers thumbs; this page covers who stands where.
Split the mound
Four people on one wall is one searcher and three spectators. Assign faces: spawn-left, spawn-right, back, top. Call bombs in chat so you do not overlap craters. How to use bombs is the plant-and-pause method. A friend bombing your pan is grief even when they mean well.
Only one avatar can grab the needle. Decide beforehand whether you care who clicks. If you do not, first-see-first-grab is fine. If you do, call the silhouette and let the designated hunter take it. Publish the time as a group find on your own sheet; this wiki will not invent a party leaderboard the studio did not ship.
Shop as a group without going broke
Do not all dump cash into the same luxury row. One person can keep selling while another starts a bomb sweep. The early-game tier list still applies to each wallet. Sharing cash is not a game feature. There is no trading title here.
If someone in the party injects auto-grab, say so. Your hay tracker executor column should match reality. A two-second teleport is not a sixteen-minute fair find.
Chat, ads, and mute
Full servers fill with loadstring ads. Mute and hunt. Do not spend the round policing strangers. Report through Roblox if you have a clip; this wiki is not a report tool. The scripts hub documents what those ads are selling so you can ignore them faster.
Codes, if they ever exist, are one per account. A friend redeeming a key does not gift you hay. How to redeem codes stays personal. There are still no public keys.
When the party should hop
If chat says someone found it, leave together. If the mound is a canyon, leave together. If one friend is still shopping while three are searching a stripped face, stop and re-read how to win faster. A party does not create extra needles. It only creates extra eyes — and extra ways to stand on each other.
Play together like you are mapping a field, not like you are stacking a photo. Then grab the needle once and go do something else.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can friends help me find the needle?
Yes. Split faces of the pile. You still share one needle, so do not stack on one wall.
Is there a private server?
VIP servers were not enabled at write time. Public 20-player instances are the default.
Can mobile and PC party together?
Yes. Same Roblox account system and the same place ID.
Does a friend finding it count for me?
The round ends for the instance. Celebrate, hop, and start a new pile. See server tips.
